Is Yahoo your primary search engine? You’ll find that each search engine appeals to a particular demographic. After doing some research Yahoo appeals to the following:
- single person households (interesting fact: they use more electricity than Googlers)
- blue collar backbone
- poor people (according to Gizmodo and Techcrunch)
Yahoo just improved their search results page today. It looks like this:
Notice that: Home, Mail, News, Sports, and etc are on the top of the page. The new search results page has less clutter, higher search results, and loads much faster. Yahoo is stepping up their game for sure. By paraphrasing, we learn that they are working to deliver a search experience that combines utility with beauty and gets you to your results faster.
